==[ Change Last Message Read ]========================================

This command lets you reset your last message read pointers in each of
the conferences that you've selected. Enter two numbers after the
prompt, in the form "conference last-read".

Here's an example:

Type Conf & Last Read? 1 3 2 16 89 7

This sets conference 1's last read to 3, conference 2's last read to
16, and conference 89's last read to 7.

TQM also offers several short cuts that apply to all of the
conferences you've selected:

C ... C)lear. Set all last reads to zero.

M ... M)aximize. Sets all last reads to the highest message in the
conference.
{PB
R ... R)estore. Restores the last message read pointers to the
values that were in effect when you invoked TQM. This is
handy if you did a download and had a problem - R)estore
will put the values back to the way they were.

S ... S)ave. Makes last message read pointers "permanent."
Normally, the values you see are "local" to TQM. If you
change your last read pointer and return to the BBS, the
values haven't changed in the BBS. S)ave puts these values
in effect in the BBS software.

Note: After a download, TQM updates your last message read
pointers and does the equivalent of a S)ave.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
