Welcome to the movie-information-on-disk concept that I pioneered
in 1985. Since then, The Movie Database has expanded with more movies
and more information on each movie. I think you'll find it interesting,
useful, and entertaining.

For information on how to look up information with the included MOVIES
program, see MOVIES.DOC.

The remaining information in this file consists of:
- registration information & info on freebies for registering
- the licensing agreement


Registration

The contents of these diskettes has been provided on an honor system
"try-before-you-buy" basis. (Unless you purchased this package
directly from Packet Press, your payment was simply for a
duplication/handling charge and for the diskette(s) themselves, not for
the contents.)

As much as I'd like to provide this database for free, it required a
lot of time to enter the information for 6000 movies. (Time I could
have spent making some money to meet my mortgage payments.) If you like
The Movie Database and would like to continue using it, then please pay
for it. As with all shareware, software authors receive nothing from
shareware vendors or BBSs. The only time we get anything for our
efforts is when you, the user, send us the registration fee.

To register, print out and fill in the REGISTER file or just send me
a check or money order for $15, with your name and address.
