OVERVIEW
________


PC-Yahtzee is played exactly like the board game. A 50 entry high score
file is maintained (size is controlled from the configuration file).
Since this game can take a while to play to completion, a game save
feature has been included. This feature allows the player to save the
game contents and return to the same game on your next play automatically.





INSTALLATION
____________


Installation is fairly easy and straight-forward. The following steps and
examples should have you up and running in a very short period of time.

1) Create a directory to hold all PC-YAHTZEE files

2) Unzip PCYATZxx.ZIP into the the above directory

3) Modify the PCYAHTZ.BAT file to reflect the name of the directory you
created in step # 1 above. If you wish you may change the name of
PCYAHTZ.BAT to any name you wish, with a .BAT extension.

4) Move the .BAT file to any directory in your PATH or add the directory
to the PATH statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

NOTE: You will notice there are two parameters (YOUR NAME/12345678)
on line 2 of the .BAT file. These parameters (your name/your
registration number) have no effect until you register the
program and receive your own registration data.

You may make this file available for downloading from your BBS or you may
upload it to any BBS of your choice, provided that you do not make any
changes to the contents of the archive (ZIP file). The archive and its
individual contents may not be used by any service that charges any money
whatsoever, without the written permission of the author.





REGISTRATION

I am not a subscriber to the "Crippleware" concept, and this program
reflects that philosophy. This is a full-featured program, whose
functionality is not hampered in any way, whether you register it or not.
Registration and the subsequent placement of the registration number on
the command line, allows for the display of your name on the opening
screen as well as the reduction of a delay built into the opening screen
display and a few other "EVALUATION" reminders..

To register your copy of PC-YAHTZEE, please fill out the registration form
(PCYAHTZ.FRM) and mail it along with a small donation ($10, $15,etc) to
the name and address on the form.

Be sure to use the proper upper/lower case when filling in your name, as
it MUST match EXACTLY to the spelling on the command line.

Based upon information supplied on the registration form, I will pre-
register you on my BBS. You will then be able to call SUNRISE-80 and pick
up your registration number OR you can include a slef-addressed stamped
envelope for me to return your registration number.

The latest version of PC-YAHTZEE and other fine SUNRISE DOOR and stand-alone
programs are always available for download from SUNRISE-80 BBS.
