BBStock Exchange
You've got $10,000, ten stocks to choose from and invest in, and ten
years to try and make money. The computer tracks the market while
you play, and your final score is based on your final holdings
compared to the computers par value. This means that you can get
a higher score by making some money during a bear market than you
can by making the same amount in a bull market. Pay close attention
to the company profiles and annual yield paid to stockholders.

Installation
Please consult INSTALL.BOI and COMMANDS.BOI for basic installation
help. Please also note the following information:

Files
STOCKS.INS, STOCKS.PRO (and STOCKS.KEY if you've registered)
belong in the same directory as STOCKS.EXE.

Command Line Options
All commands are listed in COMMANDS.BOI. Installation examples
can be found in INSTALL.BOI. BBStock Exchange supports all
command switches available in the BBS Onliner Interface.

Registration and Trial Period
BBStock Exchange is ShareWare. It is totally uncrippled. There are
no bells or whistles, or time delays, or time bombs, or limited
functions. You have the whole works. You are allowed to try
BBStock Exchange online for up to two (2) months. At that point you
should either take the game offline, or register it. The current
registration fee is ten United States dollars ($10US). When you
register, you will be sent a registration key that will work on all

future releases of BBStock Exchange. Please consult REGISTER.BOI
for further details about registering this and other BOI doors.

What the files are
file what it is and where it lives
STOCKS.EXE This is Bulletin Board Stock Exchange

STOCKS.INS This is the instruction file that BBStock Exchange
will display to users. I ask that anyone interested
in translating this into other languages to contact me
personally. A near future release of BBStock Exchange
and my other doors will also allow for all text WITHIN
the game to be translated as well. This file belongs
in the same directory as STOCKS.EXE

STOCKS.PRO This file contains the company profiles. It is
displayed online to the users. This file belongs in
the same directory as STOCKS.EXE. Please refer to the
above statement if you are interested in translating
this file.

STOCKS.KEY This is the registration key file. This file (if you
have it) belongs in the same directory as STOCKS.EXE

BBSE.HOF This is the Hall Of Fame data file. The game will
create and maintain this file in the same directory as
STOCKS.EXE. If you wish to reset the Hall Of Fame,
you can delete this file.

BBSEHOF.TXT This is the text Hall Of Fame. This file is designed
as a user bulletin. By default it is created in the
same directory as STOCKS.EXE, but it can be moved and/
or renamed by use of the /Y command line option (see
COMMANDS.BOI). This file displays the all time high
score, the three best from the previous month, and the
current month's top ten.

BOIERR.LOG The BBS Onliner Interface maintains this log file for
diagnostic reasons.
