Backgammon for Windows
This program is intended for use by two players. It has both a
mouse and keyboard interface. To use the mouse interface, first
click the left button on the piece that you wish to move. Next,
click the left button on the position you wish to move the piece.
To take a piece off the board, simply double click on the piece
you wish to remove. If you have a man on the bar, you only have
to click on the space that it is to move into.
The keyboard interface works as follows. The right and left
arrow keys move the cursor in the appropriate directions. The
up arrow key will move the cursor from the bottom of the board
to the top and the down arrow will move the cursor from the top
of the board to the bottom. To move a piece, move the cursor to
the piece you wish to move and press enter. Then move the cursor
to the destination for that piece and press enter. To take a
piece off the board, simply press Ctrl-Enter when the cursor
is on the position of the piece you wish to remove.
All dice moves must be made individually. In other words, if
you roll a 4 and 3 then you must first move 4 and then 3, you
cannot move all seven at once.
