This file will enable support for PKZip 2.04 to the PC Tools for Windows Version 1.0 File Manager. To add this support, close Windows and copy the WNFSV1.DLL file to the directory where PC Tools for Windows is installed (C:\CPS by default). The file is not compressed, and is intended to replace the existing file of the same name.

Use of this file will allow the PC Tools for Windows File Manager Expand command to expand files archived with PKZip Version 2.04 and earlier. It is important to note, however, that the Compress command will then compress files to PKZip Version 2.04 compatible format only. The Compress command will no longer create PK Zip Version 1.x archive files. If you wish to retain compatability for either format, rename the original DLL file to DL1 before replacing the existing copy of WNFSV1.DLL. Then, when you want to use PKZip Version 1.x compatibile compression, rename the new DLL to DL2, and DL1 to DLL.

Warning: Do NOT overwrite or rename the WNFSV1.DLL file while running any PC Tools for Windows application. Doing so may cause a General Protection Fault or system lockup.
