WIZCON is a program intended as a quick and dirty method of exporting
customer data out of the Mail Order Wizard. The Haven Corp. offers a
professional package - the Monarch - that accomplishes this and many
other common mail order management tasks that the Wizard (or Wizkid)
does not provide on its own. WIZCON converts the mail.lst file (the
main data file in the Wizard) into a quote and comma delimited list,
acceptable by most other programs. The executable version supplied
produces data in the format required by ACT!(tm). The code provided is
hereby released into PUBLIC DOMAIN. You can modify the source code to
suit your particular need.

If you are not able to modify the source code we can help. Please call
J&J Graphics and ask for Jan Zawadzki (Yahn). Our number is (410) 823-5112.
We can also provide a variety of custom hardware/software solutions to fit
your business environment.

The syntax is: WIZCON list.out NN

where list.out is the quote and comma delimited output list, and NN is
the product LOCATION. Product number can be found in the Elf, PRODUCT LIST
screen. The LOCATION is NOT the same as number, or symbol. WIZCON will
produce a list of all customers whose records indicate that they have
purchased the product located at NN.
WIZCON will automatically assume MAIL.LST as the input file name.
You MUST copy your original /datawiz/mail.lst file to the directory where
WIZCON resides.

VERY IMPORTANT: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER WORK WITH THE ORIGINAL DATA!!!

Since the entire Wizard record is read, you can export any of the information
therein. Please note that WIZCON does *NOT* facilitate export of some
numerical or date formats used by the Wizard.
WIZCON WILL fix the lname/fname field - in the Wizard they are stored
in the NAME field, separated by a \xFF. WIZCON will convert this to
the correct (well, more common...) FIRST NAME LAST NAME format.
WIZCON assumes the input file name of MAIL.LST, and will fail if this
file cannot be found in current directory.
