RUNNING FROM CD-ROM
QuickTax may be run directly from a CD-ROM disk from the \QTAX06
subdirectory. From the prompt, simply Enter QUICKTAX. Then follow
the automatic promps after making a menu selection.

INSTALLATION TO A HARD DRIVE PROCEDURE
To install the program on your hard drive go to the floppy drive
(A or B) or directory that you are installing from. Then from the
DOS prompt (A:\> or B:\>) enter:
INSTALL
If you have downloaded a zip file to a directory on your hard disk,
go to that directory, unzip the file and type INSTALL to run the
install procedure directly from that directory.
To run the program on your hard disk go to the subdirectory
C:\QUICKTAX created by the install procedure and type:
QUICKTAX {and press Enter}
You may want to add C:\QUICKTAX to your PATH command to enable
access to QuickTax from any directory.

WINDOWS INSTALLATION
QuickTax also runs well under WINDOWS but you will have to install
manually after doing the DOS installation.
Start Windows and from Program Manager:
> Open the Group in which you want to install QuickTax
> From the Program Manager File menu click New
> Click on Program Option button
> In the Description box type: QuickTax
> In the Command Line box type: C:\QUICKTAX\QUICKTAX
> Specify the Working Directory: C:\QUICKTAX\DATA
> Click on Change Icon, select any icon and click on OK
> Click on OK to exit

FLOPPY ONLY OPERATION
No installation is needed but if you have downloaded a zip file,
unzip the file on your diskette. A vendor's disk should be supplied
unzipped. Now create a data subdirectory: At the DOS prompt Enter
MKDIR DATA. Enter GO to run the program directly from that disk.
You may want to make the program diskette bootable by using your sys
command to transfer the system from your system disk to the program
disk. An AUTOEXEC.BAT file is included so the program will be
automatically started at bootup. If you exit the program, Enter GO
to restart it.
