DELMULT is a utility that allows you to delete ALL occurrences of a file(s)
anywhere on the specified disk drive.
The syntax may be obtained by entering DELMULT ?. This syntax is:
DELMULT FileName1 [FileName2]...[FileNameN]
where FileName1 is required and is a file name to be deleted from
each and every subdirectory on your disk. FileName2 thru
FileNameN are optional file names to be deleted from each and
every subdirectory on your disk.
After DELMULT parses your command line all the files you have entered to be
deleted will be displayed on the screen and you will be given a chance to
review the filenames and optionally change the disk drive on which you would
like the files to be deleted. If the shown disk drive (your default drive) is
not correct, enter the drive letter for the correct drive.
You will then be given an opportunity to confirm the deletion of each file. If
you choose to confirm deletions, when a candidate for deletion is found, the
full pathname and filename will be displayed and you will be asked to respond
(Y)es or (N)o to delete. If you choose not to confirm deletions, deleted files
will be displayed as they are deleted with no pause.
DELMULT will accept wildcards. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU ENTER WILDCARDS IN ANY
PROGRAM THAT DOES MASS FILE DELETION! ALWAYS REPLY YES TO THE DELETE
CONFIRMATION QUESTION!
If at any time you wish to halt DELMULT, pressing the Escape key in response to
a file deletion confirmation will halt DELMULT. At any time you press any key
while DELMULT is searching your disk, you will receive the query
"Halt ? [Y/N]".
Pressing (Y)es will halt DELMULT.
