Welcome to Anarkey 4.0!



Anarkey is an intelligent command-line editor for DOS. With Anarkey,
complete input lines can be entered with two or three keystrokes. Anarkey
is intelligent because there is no need to tell it what you want to enter on
the command line; simply press the key and Anarkey figures out what
you want and does it for you.

Anarkey knows what you want and gives it to you!

Instructions on using Anarkey, including a short tutorial, can be found
in the "Anarkey User Manual" in the file ANARKEY.DOC. All Anarkey support
programs are also documented in that file.

The Anarkey software package is distributed as shareware. The
unregistered version is for evaluation purposes only. It is a fully
functional program with no missing features.

You may use the evaluation copy of Anarkey for 30 days. If you find
Anarkey to be a useful tool and wish to continue using it beyond the 30-day
evaluation period, you must register your copy with Moderne Software.

To register Anarkey, you can fill in the order form contained in the file
ORDERFRM and send it to Moderne Software. If the order form is missing,
pricing information is contained later in this file and also in the
evaluation version's sign-on message.

Upon registering, you will receive a printed "Anarkey User Manual" and a
registered diskette containing the latest version. Registered users are
also entitled to technical support and future updates at a reduced price.



Anarkey Licensing
=================

Individuals
-----------
Anarkey and its related programs are NOT public domain or freeware! The
Anarkey package is a copyrighted software product developed and owned by
Steven Calwas.

Anarkey is distributed as shareware. Individuals may evaluate the
Anarkey package for a maximum period of 30 days. At the end of the
evaluation period, if you find Anarkey to be a useful tool and wish to
continue using it, you must register your copy with Moderne Software.

Registration is $29.95 in United States dollars. Shipping and handling
charges of $4.00 within the U.S. and $8.00 outside the U.S. must be included
with all registration orders. California residents must also include state
sales tax.


All payments must be in U.S. dollars.

Upon receipt of your registration, a printed "Anarkey User Manual" and
disk with the latest registered version of the Anarkey software package will
be sent to you. You will also be entitled to technical support and future
updates at a reduced price. Registered users may use the Anarkey software
package for both personal and business uses, provided that it will never be
used on more than one machine at the same time or by any person who is not
registered.

To register your copy of Anarkey, fill out the order form in the ORDERFRM
file and mail it with payment to Moderne Software. If the order form is
missing, send the registration payment, along with desired disk size (5.25"
or 3.5") to the address listed at the bottom of this file.

DISTRIBUTION OF REGISTERED VERSIONS OF Anarkey IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND
WILL RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE DISTRIBUTOR.

Network Licenses
----------------
Network licenses of Anarkey are available. One physical copy of the
Anarkey software package (i.e. one disk and one printed manual) is shipped
to you. The software may then be installed on a network server. However,
all persons accessing Anarkey from the server must be licensed to do so.
User licenses may be purchased according to the following schedule.

First user $29.95
Subsequent users 10.00 each


Distribution Licenses
---------------------
Computer bulletin boards, disk vendors and user groups may distribute the
evaluation version of Anarkey provided the entire Anarkey package,
including all support programs, documentation files and order form, is
included in the distribution and a fee not to exceed $10 is charged for
such distribution.

DISK VENDORS: This file explicitly grants you permission to include the
evaluation version of Anarkey in your library subject to the restrictions
described in the previous paragraph. Requests for additional written
permission or copies of software diskettes must include a self-addressed,
stamped mailer to receive a reply.

DISTRIBUTION OF REGISTERED VERSIONS OF Anarkey IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND
WILL RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THE DISTRIBUTOR.

OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SHAREHOLDERS, AFFILIATES, OWNERS, OR OTHER
RELATED PARTIES WILL BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY USE OF (OR
INABILITY TO USE) OR PERFORMANCE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES
WHATSOEVER WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE EVEN IF WE ARE
