Notes about this issue:

Hope you like the WinHelp format we're using. Still trying to get
all the kinks out, but we're real happy. To select an article from the
Table of contents, select the line with the title of the article. Some
of the icons are selectable also, but not all. I think I know what the
problem is, but in an attempt to get the magazine out this month, I'm
not going to try to fix it yet.

Anyway, since the size of the magazine is getting up there, we're
considering just going to the WinHelp format for good. If we do decide
to do this, we'll need a way to print all of the articles with one button
instead of having to print each individual topic. There's a way to do this,
we just haven't implemented it.

I know some people are fond of the printed copy, but it comes down to
this. We have to choose one of the two formats. It's too much trouble
maintaining both. Also, because the file can sometimes be really big, it
can add too much to the size to have both files.

If you really prefer the text, let us know. We figure everyone who's
reading the magazine has WinHelp, so it's not like it's in Word for Windows
or something that not everyone has.

Anyway, let us know your thoughts on this.

Pete & Mike

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
