The main utility FILLDISK (compiled BASIC) and the subfunctions DSPACE,
DFILL (in assembly language) were used to fill the remaining space of a
program diskette, to prevent a user to start creating additional files
in a too small area on the same floppy and to prevent to have to physi-
cally write-protect floppy diskettes. The .TMP file directory entry can
eventually be made invisible in an additional step.
