Alexandria, VA 22302

Dear Lists, Rules and Smarts,

Attached is a proposal for conversion of Lists, Rules and Smarts
publishing system to another operating system or environment. I have
attached information which will demonstrate to LR&S that I have the capability
to accomplish this program development. I understand the the fundamental
parts of the system are an editor and a rapid menu producing system and
that the products I produce are my own and not copied from other sources

I have quoted you a flat charge and on acceptance of the proposal and
my capabilities I may proceed with the programming with the expectation
that on presentation of a rough working prototype I may expect 25% of the
flat price I quoted on the system. LR&S owns the prototype based on
the original system design. On the production of the complete satisfactory
system LR&S will pay the remainder of the flat fee and LR&S will own all the
rights to the code and code associated with the program. If the program is
not completed in six months the contract is terminated and LR&S owns all
codes and programs used in the development process.

Signed,

initiation of the project. If the product works substantially as
projected and we accept your final product we will pay the rest on
completion. The expected fee will be between $1000 to $3000 depending

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
