The following is a list of bulletin board systems (BBS's) that I monitor
on a regular basis. These boards will have the latest versions of all my
programs available for download. In addition, you can also leave me
electronic mail (e-mail) if you have a question or comment, and I'll
respond as soon as possible. Address your message to "Randy Rasa".

1. The Next Egg BBS Sysop: Tom Frye
Lenexa, KS
913-269-2792
1200-14400 USR V.32/HST, 2 lines, 15,000 files, 800 Megs, CD-ROMs
The Nest Egg BBS is my main support BBS at this time. It contains a
"Solitaire Support" forum dedicated to my games. It also has a good
selection of shareware solitaires of all sorts (DOS and Windows) for
your downloading pleasure. I call this system daily.

2. Colossus IV Systems BBS Sysop: Frank Neal
Stilwell, KS
913-897-6667
2400/V.32bis/14.4 HST, 12 lines, 9.3 Gig, CD-ROMs
This is the largest BBS in the state of Kansas, with a ton of files
and a very large selection of message areas from Fido, the Internet,
etc. An excellent board. I call this system daily.

3. The Cricket BBS Sysop: Jim Robeson
Pacific Grove, CA
408-373-3773
1200-16800 V.32bis/HST USR, 3 lines
This is my BBS home on the west coast, and you'd be hard pressed to find
a friendlier board anywhere. A large collection of games (especially
solitaires). I call this board weekly.

4. Software Creations BBS Sysop: Dan Linton
Clinton, MA
508-365-7036
2400-16.8K V.32/V.42bis USR, many lines, many megs
This is the "Home of the Authors", and is the home BBS for Apogee Software,
Id Software, Epic MegaGames, and many more. A file hounds dream BBS. I
call this system weekly.

The following are systems that I call less often, though they are all fine
boards, some run by registered users of my games. I typically call these
at least once a month (usually more):

þ The Wizard's Chest BBS ..................................... 303-666-7924
þ The Spring Hill BBS ........................................ 913-592-3755
þ FoxFire BBS ................................................ 913-722-6577
þ JCCC BBS ................................................... 913-469-4401

I can also be contacted via the Internet (also thru CompuServe, or any other
service which provides access to the Internet). My Internet address is:

As time goes by, BBS's come and go, so by the time you read this, one or
more of these boards may no longer be in operation, but chances are good that
most of these will still be online.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
