Three useful libraries for Turbo C. One provides minimal windowing
facilities, one a basic database, and one a group of simple tools.

Review by [email protected] (submitter):

This is a set of libraries written for Turbo-C. There are 3 libraries, as
follows:

WN.LIB
Text-based windowing library. Includes extended code keyboard input for
easy use of function keys etc, basic menuing system, popup windows,
restoration of the DOS screen on exit, single, double or no borders, and
screen based I/O (multiple-field).

DB.LIB
Basic database routines. Handles multiple open databases, and multiple (or
no) indexes per database. Currently the only index type is a doubly-linked
list. Pretty basic, but simple to use. I've written a complete patient
database program with it.

TL.LIB
Collection of tools. Includes routines for music, dice-rolling, parallel
port interfacing, printer control, and date calculation and conversion.

These libraries are released as shareware. Details are in the docs. With the
exception of two of the music functions, which are public domain, I wrote all
the functions, so no worries there.

This is my first shareware release, and I had not originally intended on
releasing it, but there was a large reponse when I mentioned them on
comp.ibm.pc.programmer, so I'm submitting them now. However, I happily admit
there is a lot of room for improvement, particularly with the documentation
and the portability, so if I get even a couple of people registering, I'll
release a second version.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
