This template was created by Victor Shiff, Waterbury, CT for Kedit 4.0.
It seems that originally this template was created by Joseph C. Melhorn
for the Shareware program QFILER.
WordPerfect for Windows does not come with a CUA template. I got tired of
looking at the keyboard help screen.
There are four files in this zip file:
Read-me.1st this file
wp-51-1 .tem WordPerfect 5.1 template single space
wp-51-2 .tem WordPerfect 5.1 template double space
wp51-win.tem WordPerfect 5.1 for windows CUA template
NOTE: Because of the width of these templates (10 7/8"), you MUST have
access to a wide carriage printer, 11 x 8.5", 14 7/8 x 11" wide paper,
or single 8 1/2 x 11" single sheet paper turned sideways. These templates
will be printed at 8-lpi in compressed type. If your printer is capable
of LQ print while in compressed mode, push the correct buttons or add the
appropriate string to invoke LQ, to the string below. Laminate your
template with clear book-tape or equivalent, to make it thicker and sturdier.
Cut out around the outside and remove the center sections, then place over
your keyboard function keys. If your printer ribbon is of marginal quality,
it may be a good idea to install a fresh one.
Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
