Installation instructions


1. Copy the MACROS.EXE file to your macros directory. Compare the
list of macros names contained in this document to the names
of macro in your macros directory. Rename any of your macros
that have identical names to any of the macros listed here.
The only ones that you may already have in your directory are:
ALTM.WPM & ALTC.WPM. Most of the WonderMenu macro files begin
with a "-" minus sign, so that they are not likely to be
accidentally replaced. Once you are sure you don't have any
conflicting macro names, proceed with step 2.

2. Execute the MACROS.EXE file to un-archive the macros.

3. Create on your C: drive a directory for forms called
C:\DATA\FORMS\ (It has to be your C: drive, to avoid having
to edit the path statements in about 10 - 20 macros).

4. Copy FORMS.EXE to the directory C:\DATA\FORMS\.

5. Execute the FORMS.EXE file to un-archive the forms. Included
with the forms is the printer definition file HPLASEII.PRS
that was used to create the forms. It is included for
reference sake, and for those who may want to see what the
forms look(ed) like. Do not copy this to the directory that
contains your printer definitions, especially if you already
have a printer definition by this name.

6. In order for the forms to work properly with your printer,
they will need to be converted into files for your printer.
To do this, get into Wordperfect, select your default printer,
and execute the macro FORMCONV.WPM. It will retrieve into
WordPerfect each form file (.FRM) from the C:\DATA\FORMS\
directory, causing it to be reformatted for your default
printer, and then save it back to C:\DATA\FORMS\ under the
same filename. What this does is convert the forms from a
Laserjet II document to a document for your default printer.
Now when you select MEMORANDUM from the menu, the form will
be formatted for your default printer. If you have a Laserjet
II definition already, then this step is unnecessary

7. To invoke Wondermenu, type Alt-M in WordPerfect. After
displaying a shareware notice, the menu system will appear.
if the menu system does not appear, check your setup to be
sure that your macro directory is set to the directory where
you un-archived the macros.

That should complete the installation! If you have any major
difficulties getting the system to work, send me a message on
Compuserve, (72470,1100), or write me concerning the difficulty.
I'm working on a quick basic installation macro that would allow
for you to specify what ever directory you want for forms. there
are also many other enhancements in the works that will be ready
for the first shipment of registered users.




LAN VERSION: NetMenu


A LAN version of the menu system, called NetMenu, is also
available. It offers the same functions as WonderMenu, but with
the following benefits:

- Standard menu system for all LAN users.
- Corporate forms can be standardized
- Macros cannot be altered except by a LAN Supervisor
- Local stations only require one macro to be installed to
gain access to all of Netmenu's functions.
- Local stations keep current macros & macro directory.

NETMENU

- Functions on Novell Netware 2.0 and above, and any other LAN
that supports mapping a directory to a drive letter.
- NetMenu is $250.00 per server, including: 1 set of disks,
Installation and customization instructions, 20 user manuals
(each fits in a WP50 manual) and a complete documented listing
of all NetMenu Macros.

Please use Wondermenu as a basis for your evaluation to decide
if you want to buy NetMenu.


CUSTOM VERSIONS

WonderMenu and NetMenu are designed to be easily customized.
If you desire to have a custom system put together or think
you might need one, please contact us in writing.

LICENSE AGREEMENT


The macro programs that constitute the product "WonderMenu" are not
"Public Domain" and they are not "Freeware". WonderMenu, NetMenu,
and Form-Fill are copyrighted software products and are owned by
Clayton Groom. You are free to modify the macros that make up the
WonderMenu system for your own personal use only. You may not
distribute for payment, commercial benefit, or other consideration,
either the original or modified versions of the macro program(s).
You are encouraged to distribute the original, unmodified archived
files for others to evaluate. No fee may be charged for the
distribution of the WonderMenu system without permission from the
author.

The WonderMenu menu shell may be licenced for use in distributing
other macro products. Those interested in licensing the menu shell
and/or the Form-Fill interpreter, may contact us in writing for
more details.

Included with this package is a file HELP.WPK. it is a modified
version of the ENHANCED.WPK file that comes with WordPerfect 5.0.
The file HELP.WPK is to be considered to as freeware. Share it as
you like!
