What is a site license? A site license is an inexpensive way for more
than one person to legally use one copy of a program on more than one
computer at a time. Site licenses are designed for companies, offices or
workgroups where more than one person in the organization needs to use a
product, but does not need additional manuals or disks. Site licensing
enables companies, departments, government agencies, etc., to equip their
personnel with the tools they need at a minimal cost. Here's the gist of how
it works: The company purchasing a site license (the licensee) provides a
single point of contact for shipping, technical support, upgrades, etc., and
we (the licensor) provide a "golden master" of the diskettes, manual, and any
other parts of the package.

These days the world seems to be run by attorneys, so of course
they want to get involved in everything. The following legalese
document is the complete license agreement. Simply print it, fill
it out, sign under LICENSEE, enclose a check or money order for
the correct amount, and mail it to:

Upon receipt of the completed, signed form, and a check or money
order for the correct amount, we will send you the required
"golden masters" and a copy of the license agreement with an
authorized signature under LICENSOR.

license has no relation to the Shareware version.

SITE-LICENSE AGREEMENT

If you wish to use this software on more than one computer, a site license
is required. A site license is also required to use this software on a
network. A site license allows you to copy and use this software within your
organization on as many computers as contracted for. This is copyrighted
software and any distribution or reselling of the software to third parties
is prohibited.
We grant ......................... a site license for the use of the
following software program(s): "Vision Edit" - Version 3.5 .
This is a perpetual license for the use of the software within your
organization, and is not transferable. This site license allows internal use
and copying of the software for use by/on .....users/computers.
This license is distinct from shareware use. It does not authorize the
continued use of shareware. If, in addition to the software used under this
license, shareware is in use, that shareware must be registered with us.
We will provide technical support for one year from the date of this
agreement to one person, designated as the key contact within your company
or organization.
We warrant that it is we are the sole owner of the software and have full
power and authority to grant the site license without the consent of any
other party.
We disclaim all warranties relating to this software, whether express or
implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties
are expressly and specifically disclaimed. Neither we, nor anyone else who
has been involved in the creation, production, or delivery of this software
shall be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental
damages arising out of the use or inability to use such software even if we
have been advised of the possibility of such damages or claims. In no event
shall our liability for any damages ever exceed the price paid for the
license to use the software, regardless of the form of claim. The person
using the software bears all risk as to the quality and performance of the
software. (Some states do not allow the exclusion of the limit of liability
for consequential or incidental damages, so this limitation might not apply
to you.)
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Manitoba and
shall insure to the benefit of us, and any successors, administrators, heirs,
and assigns. Any action or proceeding brought by either party against the
other arising out of or related to this agreement shall be brought only in a
STATE or FEDERAL COURT of competent jurisdiction located in Winnipeg,
Manitoba. The parties hereby consent to in personam jurisdiction of said
courts.
