Slide Right 1.0
A Free Utility from MidWest BBS
St. Charles, IL
(312) 513-1034 - 24 Hrs - 9600(HST) Supported
We wrote this small utility, because we were tired of trying to figure
out what was written before we punched wholes in the paper for binding.
Frequently, the Read.Me files that come with upgrades and other small
utilities are jammed against the left margin, making it nearly
impossible to punch them for a 3 ring binder. Slide Right wil read
the input file and move each line over the specified number of spaces.
The command syntax is as follows:
SlideRt M Infile Outfile
Where M is the number of spaces to shift each line and Infile is the
file to be converted. OutFile is a name of your choosing or it may be
directed directly to the printer by specifying the port (such as
LPT1). If you forget the commands, just type SlideRt and you will be
reminded.
After conversion, most lines will probably exceed the normal 80
characters, so it is necessary to put your printer into condensed
mode prior to printing.
Slide Right also removes any formfeed commands and repaginates for
proper printing. Paging is structured so that it will accomodate
those lucky soles that own a laser printer, as well as those of us
with dot matrix.
We hope you find this little utility useful.
P.S. Feel free to call MidWest BBS. It's free and accessible by PC
Pursuit.
