The purpose of these tests in RING_TST.QM was find the most effective
QEdit macro technique to execute undetermined tasks in each file in
the ring. My ideas and those of John Goodman, Kyle Watkins and Tim
Farley were tested in very simple macros that loop through the QEdit
file ring once and only once. The objectives were to find a
technique that was fast, visibly and audibly pleasing (no beeps), and
would not fail under any circumstances.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
