=====================
Much of the appeal for hypertext centers on the concept
of "live-footnotes" or "electronic cross-references"
that provide additional information at the touch of a
button.
Explanatory I call these kinds of hypertext jumps "explanatory" as
hypertext jumps each jump provides expanded information on the current
=============== subject. Such jumps are useful as they often:

³ - provide instant access to more detailed information ³
³ - save time in using an index for cross-references ³
³ - reflect expert judgement on relationships ³

Although they may seem perfect, explanatory hypertext
systems typically contain two fundamental defects:
Circular hypertext -- lost in network
Unclear hypertext -- need predictable jumps

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
