"HYPE" for HyperText Applications
Uses for HyperText Applications
The following is a quick outline of possible HyperText
Applications:
~Diagnostic and Repair Material~
~Preventive Maintenance Material~
~Installation Material~
~Company Policy~
~Standards Manuals~
Each of these ideas can be easily implemented in HYPE. In a lot
of cases, a lot of this material already exists in word
processing form. If so, then most of the hard part is done.

Diagnostic and Repair Systems are quite typically
decision-tree in structure, these decision nodes can be
represented in HyperText documents.

.Window:1,3,11,3,15,3,2,2,40,7
Preventive Maintenance Systems are
very closely related to Diagnostic
and Repair Systems. They are designed
to anticipate problems.

.TOPIC:Installation Material
.Window:1,3,11,3,15,3,2,2,52,10
Installation manuals might be a little friendlier
and easier to use in a HyperText form than in
less helpful paper forms. Graphic images can be
popped up to aid in the installation. Confusing
points may be clarified via buttons for those
individuals who need it.

.TOPIC:Company Policy
.Window:1,3,11,3,15,3,2,2,52,5
Financial, personnel, and other policies can be
placed on-line in HyperText form.
.End:Company Policy
.TOPIC:Standards Manuals
.Window:1,3,11,3,15,3,2,2,55,5
Rather than using bulky standards manuals for day to
day operations, HyperText documents can be assembled
and made accessible.

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
