DEDIT.EXE is not and has never been public domain software, nor is it free Software. Non-Licensed users are granted a limited license to use DEDIT for 30 days on a trial basis for the purpose of determining whether DEDIT is suitable for their needs. The use DEDIT, except for initial 30-day trial, requires registration. The use of unlicensed copies of DEDIT by any person, business, corporation, government agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited. Ê

A single user license permits a user to DEDIT only on a single computer. Licensed users may use the program on different computers, but may not use the program on more than computer at the same time. ?


No one may modify or patch the DEDIT executable files in any way, including but not limit to decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute DEDIT only for the trial use of others, subject to the above limitations, and also the following. û

The Replace command displays a dialog box similar to the Find Text Dialog Box only it adds a New Text input box. To Find and Replace text, simply type in the text to find, hit the TAB-key to go to the New Text Box and type in the text that will replace the old text, then press ENTER or choose Ok. P

The calculator is a simple four-function calculator with add, subtract, multiply, and divide. To operate the calculator you can either use the keyboard or press the buttons on the calculator with the mouse. The current character is marked by a blinking block cursor, and the hexadecimal and decimal ASCII values of the character are displayed below the chart.
