WinBoot
v. 1.0
A Microsoft Windows Utility

Realistic Systems Software
Ft. Washington,Md.

Have you ever been in a situation that you've found Windows to be
unstable, but you dreaded having to exit to just restart it?

Have you always wondered why Microsoft did not include the
ability to restart Windows as some of the installation programs
do?

WinBoot was written to offer that capability for Windows. It
uses a standard Windows API to tell Windows to restart itself.
In so doing it notifies any running programs letting them know
Windows is being restarted.

HOW DO YOU INSTALL WinBoot?

o Copy the file WinBoot.exe to you Windows directory or a
directory you use for your executables.

o Start up Windows, open the program group you want
WinBoot to appear in.

o From the Program Manager menu select File|New|Program
Item. Fill in the fields and save the new entry.

HOW DO YOU USE WinBoot?

o Just double click on the icon. WinBoot will do the
rest.

WinBoot does warn you befor restarting. So if you've made a
mistake and really didn't want to restart Windows you have an
oppportunity to back out.

WHEN SHOULD I USE WinBoot?

o When Windows is unstable, such as a UAE
o When modifying a .ini file and wishing to see the
changes now.

FINALLY....

If you find WinBoot to be of value to you all I ask is that you
enjoy it.
