Warning: Reminder needs to be running before you can run these macro's.
1. Getting Category items from Reminder.
Note: In order for this macro to work, you have to have at least 1 item in a category. You should also place the cursor at the bottom of the page before you start this macro.
Select the menu
Insert RequestCategory.
You will then be prompted for a Category name. Enter
Demo (or another category that you have an item for)
You will then get a list of the Birthday items you have listed.
2. Getting monthly items from Reminder.

Note: In order for this macro to work, you should have have at least 3 items:
1 marked as done in the current month,
1 still not done in the current month, and
1 item in the next month.
Make sure the items are not Birthdays, because the category is marked as personal so it will not show up unless specifically asked for with the "c=category" DDE entry.
You should also place the cursor at the bottom of the page before you start the macro.
Select the menu
Insert RequestFrom.
You will then be prompted for a month number. Enter the current month number
7
If it is July, select 7. You will then get a sample report of the items you finished for the month of July, a list of items you still have to do, and a final list of the items you have to do for August.
3. Posting (poking) data into Reminder.
Note: In order for this macro to work,
1. Make sure Reminder is on the path or is running and
2. Select the following line starting with "7" and ending with ".":

7/1 Test Make this sample test for me.

Now, select the menu
Insert PostToReminder.
When you are done, look at Reminder to see that the above item has been added for July 1.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
