shareware version of ProGuard.

PART 1: PROGRAM INFORMATION:

SHORT DESCRIPTION:

ProGuard V2 password-protects individual Program Manager icons,
and can prevent a guest user from starting any program not
present as an icon in Program Manager, while preventing icon
creation, copying, moving, or deletion. Requires VBRUN300.DLL.

LONGER DESCRIPTION:

ProGuard V.2 is a Windows utility designed to make it impossible
for a guest user to run selected programs by double-clicking on
their icons in Program Manager. Once a particular program's icon
has been protected by ProGuard, the guest user will find that
trying to run the program will cause ProGuard to run instead, and
that a password will be needed before the actual program will
start. ProGuard V.2 can also prevent a guest user from starting
any program not already present as an icon in Program Manager,
and can prevent the creation, copying, moving, modification, or
deletion of icons. ProGuard requires VBRUN300.DLL.

PART 2: DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS
=================================================================

The shareware version of ProGuard may be freely distributed, with
the following restrictions:

1. Permission must be granted to distribute ProGuard in retail
stores, or bundled with any other product.

2. Bulletin board systems: please name the file PRGRD-20.ZIP.

3. When distributing ProGuard, the following files must ALL be
distributed together:

4. When distributed on disk, VBRUN300.DLL must ALSO be included.

5. Disk vendors, shareware distributors and bulletin board
systems may charge only a nominal fee (less than $10.00) for
distributing the shareware version of ProGuard.

6. The recipient of ProGuard MUST be informed, in advance, that
the fee paid to acquire the shareware version of ProGuard
does NOT relieve him/her from the legal and ethical
requirement of purchasing the registered version of ProGuard,
if he/she continues to use ProGuard beyond a 30-day
evaluation period, or if he/she wishes to use ProGuard on
more than one computer.
