II. Installation

The Market Master requires that all The Market Master files (tmm.exe, tmm.dat, tmm.wri) reside in the same directory and all The Market Master data files (*.?mm) reside in the same directory as the downloaded stock quotes. It is the easiest to put all The Market Master files in the same directory.

a.Run Windows File Manager.
b.Create a Market Master directory.
c.Copy all The Market Master files to this directory.
d.Exit File Manager.
2.Create a Market Master Program Manager program item.
a.Create a Market Master Program Manager group.
b.Create a Market Master program item in The Market Master group.

III. Frame Window

File Menu

New
Creates a new stock data file, account data file, or workspace. Select the file type from the dialog box then select OK.

For new stock data files, the Company Data dialog box appears. Fill in the appropriate information then select OK. Stock data filenames are automatically the stock symbol plus the extension 'smm'. A stock data window will then appear. See the Data Window section for commands on working with stock data. A stock data file does not need to exist to be able to load daily quotes.

For new account data files, the New Account dialog box appears. Fill in the appropriate information then select OK. The extension 'amm' is automatically added to the filename. An account window will then appear. See the Account Window section for commands on working with accounts.

For new workspace files, a Save Workspace dialog box appears. Enter a filename with the extension 'wmm'. To update an existing workspace, use this command and select 'Yes' to replace the existing file.

Open
Opens an existing stock, account, or workspace file. Select the window type to open and the file from the list then select OK. If the stock or account window is already open, it will become active. Opening a workspace does not close all open windows.

Save
Saves the current active window's data.

Load Daily Quotes
Loads a downloaded quotes file. The file must be a delimited or a formated text file. Select the file from the list and check that the date is correct then select Load. If this is the first time you are loading daily quotes, setup the correct format.

A sample format for loading a Prodigy .txt quote file is as follows:
select formated
orderwidth
symbol:18
volume:711
open:411
high:511
low:611
close:211

unused:311

A stock data file for each stock quote does not need to exist. A new stock data file will automatically be created if one does not exist. Use the Company Data command to fill in the extra data.

Print
Prints the current active window to the default printer. Use the Windows Control Panel to select a different printer or select different print settings.

Data can be exported by printing to a generic text printer file.

Exit
Exits The Market Master program.
