VB ICON BROWSER
Version 2.00

Use VB Icon Browser to view, maintain, and print your collection of
Windows icons. A unique feature of VB Icon Browser is its ability
to produce very high quality completely customizable printouts of
your icons. When making a printout, you can easily change the fonts,
icon size, icon spacing, titles and margins for an endless variety of
printouts containing from one to thousands of icons per page. For
your viewing pleasure, you can view up to 36 icons at once and scroll
through all icons in a directory. To manage your icon files, you can
visually copy, rename, and delete icons using the drag and drop method.

A contest is in effect until March 19th, 1993 for the best VB Icon
Browser icon printouts that will award cash prizes to the winners!
Press the Contest! button in VB Icon Browser for more information!

NOTE: If you are low on disk space, you might want to turn the Print
Manager off to avoid running out of space when printing icons.

VB ICON EXTRACTOR
Version 1.11

VB Icon Extractor copies icons that are embedded in Windows .EXE and
.DLL files as standard .ICO icon files to the directory you specify.
Perfect for the icon collector and VB Icon Browser.

An example usage of this software is to extract the icons from the
Windows 3.1 MORICONS.DLL (106 icons) and other files, then use VB Icon
Browser to view and produce a printed catalog of all of the extracted
icons. Another example usage of this program is to extract the desktop
icon of a Windows program such as Write, then use any icon editor to
customize the extracted icon, then replace the original program's
desktop icon with the customized icon.

INSTALLATION

1) Copy the VBRUN100.DLL file to your Windows directory
2) Copy the remaining files to the directory you wish (ex: \windows\icon)
3) Install both VB Icon Browser and VB Icon Extractor on your desktop
by using the Program Manager's File/New feature.

Be sure to register your copy of VB Icon Browser and VB Icon Extractor
and enter the VB Icon Browser icon printout contest! To register, press
the Print Registration / Order Form button to print an order form, then
fill it out and send it in along with your payment. Enjoy!

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
