INSTALLATION

To install GRASP, follow these two instuctions:

1. From the Program Manager select the FILE menu and the option RUN.
2. In the dialog box, enter A:\SETUP.EXE. (or full path if needed).

This will create a new icon in your accessories group. If you wish,
you may move it to another group.


Double-Click (or press enter) on the GRASP icon to start the program.




REGISTRATION

Grasp is a shareware program.
Please register your copy.

Registering has several benefits:
1) You will be notified of updates/fixes as they are released.
2) You are supporting the shareware system.
3) Your conscience will haunt you forever if you don't.

LARGE DISKS:
Grasp has a limitation in the number of sub-dirs any directory
can have. The limit was changed from 25 to 125. All size limits
will be removed permanently in future releases.

LARGE DISKS:
Removed limitation on directory sizes.

MENU:
Added ACCEL keys to all menu items.
Changed organization of menus.

FILES:
Can now include or exclude file listings from the directory tree.

EXPAND/CONTRACT:
Added function to support expanding and contracting directories.

PRINT:
Added function to print the directory structure as displayed.

HELP:
Added calls to Windows help facility.

DISK ERROR:
Fixed error when accesing floppy drive. If drive wasn't ready, program
would crash. Now a 'Not Ready' message appears, and the operation
can be aborted.

RAM DRIVE:
Now recognizes RAM drives.

EMPTY DRIVES:
Displays "Empty Drive" when found.

START UP OPTION:
Start grasp with a drive letter and it will search that drive first. ECHO For example, GRASP D will read and display the D Drive.

ONLY ONE INSTANCE AT A TIME:
Because it uses bunches of memory.

SCAN STATUS:
Displays the current directory (top level only) being scanned.

VOLUME LABEL:
The label of the current drive drive is displayed on the 'Root' entry.

SHOW OPTIONS:
Can select what should be displayed. Percentages, actual sizes, or none ECHO of the above.

SAVE SETTINGS:
Added option to save current settings for next time.

SORT:
Provided multiple methods for displaying the directory: Name, Size, Date and None.
