KF.COM is used to delete the contents of the file you specify and prevent it
from being recovered and examined.

**** WARNING ****
All the powers of Norton's Utilities, Mace Utilities, PC-Tools or any other file
recovery program WILL NOT be able to recover the contents of a file deleted by
KF (sort of like Humpty Dumpty).

While the filename can be recovered, the contents of the original file can't.
The actual contents are replaced with the words 'Contents Deleted' before the
file is erased from the disk. So even if the original filename is 'undeleted'
all a snooper will see are the words 'Contents Deleted' throughout the entire
file regardless of the size of the original file.

Be especially cautious about wildcards (* and ?). KF will prompt you to
confirm that you want to do multiple 'kills'. If you answer yes to the
question, ALL files that match the input will be gone forever. KF will list
the filename of each file as it is killed.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read:
