public domain editor (which is similar to IBM's Personal Editor).
The menu system allows you to use the editor without really learning all
The left mouse button is used to bring up a popup type menu which has most
of the sled commands on it and is a help for the non-obvious editor commands.
The help screen is also on this menu. Use this to learn the key commands
as you work with the editor. The middle mouse button is used for block
and line mark edit commands. Practice with it and you will be able to use
the cursor to mark, copy, move and delete text, all with the mouse.
The right mouse button simply enters an ESC character. It could be modified
for use later. Be sure to modify the click.src file by inserting the line:
sled menu 3buttons
You should then execute the newclick procedure. You also need to execute the
newmenu procedure to compile the sled.def into a menu file by typing:
You may copy and distribute the sldmouse.arc file (with both this file and
sled.def) without restriction except that the distribution cannot be
distributed commercially. By using this package, the user acknowledges the
fact that the author will not be responsible for any damages caused by the
use or misuse of this product. Remember, both files must be included if
this package is distributed further.
