--- README FILE FOR RECONFIG 2.1 ---
Reconfig allows you to quickly change to different DOS configurations on your
hard disk. A configuration is comprised of the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys
files. Reconfig helps you to maintain a database of up to 100 of these
configurations with its built-in editor and drop-down menus. To run the
program, just type RECONFIG (after installing it first).
Once you have installed Reconfig, you will be able to change to your normal
configuration by typing: RECONFIG NORMAL
This will copy your "normal" configuration to the files Autoexec.bat and
Config.sys. Reconfig will then automatically execute a reboot.
Automatically defined for you is a minimal configuration, for when you want
to try out new software without any memory-resident software loaded. To load
the minimal configuration, type: RECONFIG MINIMAL
If you wanted to change your configuration, but did not want to have an
automatic reboot, simply add the word NOBOOT at the end of the command.
For example: RECONFIG NORMAL NOBOOT
You are probably maintaining different configurations already. You might be
using a text editor to make changes to Autoexec.bat and Config.sys, only to
have to change them back when you want your original configuration. Use
Reconfig to define your own configurations. Some examples of configurations
you might want to maintain are: WINDOWS, NOSIDEKICK, HOSTMODE, etc.
