Obs Toolkit

A powerful collection
of utilities

Description
-----------

Obs Toolkit is a command line supplement. It requires DOS 3 or above, and
runs with DOS 5. Obs Toolkit even runs nicely inside a Windows window.

This product is distributed through Shareware marketing. You are required
to register if you continue to use any of this software after a
reasonable evaluation period has elapsed.

Up and running the easy way
---------------------------

The easiest way to get up and running with Obs Toolkit is to run the

TRYIT.BAT

batch file. This file will ***Temporarily*** (until you remove it from
memory) remap several of the DOS internal commands to improved Toolkit
commands.

The commands supplied by the Toolkit will be equivalent to the DOS
commands that you are familiar with. (You might not even notice the
differences.)

To get the Toolkit installed ***Permanently*** you will have to modify
your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. There is an INSTALL.BAT (see QUIKSTRT.DOC).

If you install NDOS or 4DOS see the QUIKSTRT.DOC. If you use other alias
environments, you can map the Toolkit into them also. We have provided
templates for xDOS, PCED and CMD-ED to demonstrate the capability.

You say you want to know more
-----------------------------

To get started quickly, a few of the basics are provided in the file

QUIKSTRT.DOC

The QUIKSTRT.DOC file describes many of the basic concepts and features
of the Toolkit.

This might keep you running for a while, but please, print the manual and
read it.

You want to know it all!
------------------------

There is only one way to know it all. Print the manual and read it. The
manual is located in the file:

OBSKIT.DOC

The following are the keys to success:
o Print the manual.
o Read it.
o Think of all the possibilities!

After that you will be able to do many of the things you always wanted.

Summary
-------

This Toolkit does not want to stop you from accomplishing your tasks. We
are sure that you will find many applications for the Toolkit that we
didn't even conceive (it has happend many times already).

After using the Toolkit for a while you will be replacing your existing
toolset with Obs Toolkit. Don't fear; this is normal.

Never before has there been so much ***POWER*** in one place.
