*E
*B 150,High Date
You may want to change the date of the zip file to reflect the
latest dated file stored in the zip file. Answer yes to change the
date or no to use todays date.
*E
*B 100,Delete Files
The rezipper allows you to decide whether or not to delete files
at the time of processing. If you answer yes, you must type in the
full path name of the file that contains the list of files to
delete as specified under paths in the configuration window.
*E
*B 200,Re compress
The rezipper allows you to perform other functions without
actually "re-zipping" the file. Answer yes if to fully rezip the
file.
*E
*B 300,Append Logs
Unless you specify yes for append logs, the rezipper will always
erase the original log files before processing begins. Specifying
yes for append logs would be helpful when running the rezipper
multiple times from a batch file.
Please note: Answering yes with the debugger on will continue the
growth of the debug logs, and eventually you will run out of
space.
*E
*B 400,Rezip Authenticity
The rezipper can distinguish if a zip file contains authenticity
checking. You have the option not to recompress these files. If
you answer no, it will perform all other functions other than
recompression. If you answer yes, it would processed as any other
zip file, but the authenticity checking will be lost.
*E
*B 500,Scan for Viruses
The rezipper has the capability to scan a zip file for viruses. If
you answer yes to scan for viruses, you must specify the full path
name of the virus detection program in the path section of the
configuration window.
Please note: The rezipper has been designed to use McAfee
Associates Virus Scanner SCAN.EXE. I can not guarantee any other
virus scanner will work.
*E
*B 600,Insert Comments
While processing a zip file, the rezipper can insert a zip
comment. If you answer yes to insert the comments, you must
specify the full path name of the file the contains the comment in
the path section of the configuration window.
*E
*B 700,Work Drive 1
During processing the rezipper uses a specified drive as its work
drive. Even though the use of a ram drive is optional, a work
drive must be specified. I recommend using a drive with at least
of 2 megs of free space available.
Please note: You will see a significant improvement in speed by
using a RAM drive.
*E
*B 800,Work Drive 2
If by chance the rezipper finds that the first work drive does not
have enough space to process the zip file, it will use this
alternate drive. The alternate drive is optional and can be left
blank.
*E
*B 900,Run Debugger
For some unknown reason to you, you may have a problem with the a
particular zip file or the rezipper. To help determine what the
problem is, you may turn on the debugger by answering yes.
When the debugger is on, it will output two additional logs to
assist you or I in determining the problem. The logs will contain
what you would normally see when running pkzip and other
additional information for my reference.
*P
If you feel the problem is a actual bug with the rezipper, please
upload these logs to me at ICS BBS, and if possible, the zip file
it was processing when the error occurred.
Please note: When this option is turned on, the View Dos option
will not work.
*E
*B 1000,View Dos
During processing, you have the option to observe pkzip, pkunzip
and scan.exe process each zip file. Answer yes to observe each
processing stage.
*E
*B 1100,Directory to Process
Specify the directory name where the zip files are for processing.
*E
*B 1200,Path to Pkzip
Specify the full path name of the directory where pkzip and
pkunzip can be found.
*E
*B 1300,Virus Scanner
Specify the full path name of the McAfee Associates virus scanner
(SCAN.EXE).
*E
*B 1400,Comment File Name
Specify the full path name of the file that contains the zip file
comment.
*E
*B 1500,Files to Delete
Specify the full path name of the ascii text file that contains
the list of file names to delete from the zip files.
*E
*B 1600,File Viewer
You have the option to view any of the rezipper logs from within
the rezipper. If you wish to do so, specify a file viewing
utility that will accept a file name as the first parameter.
*E
*B 1700,Name of Editor
You have the option to create and edit the text file that contains
a list of file names from within the rezipper. If you wish to do
so, specify a editor that will accept a file name as the first
parameter.
*E
*B 5000,Configure
Allows you to change any of the configuration options.
*E
*B 5010,Files to delete
Create/Edit the ascii file specified in the path section of the
configuration window. Enter the file names you wish to delete.
Each file name must be on a line by itself. The wildcards "*" and
"?" may be used. Save the file before exiting your editor.
*E
*B 5020,Processing
A menu will appear and ask you for the directory that contains the
zip files to process. Press enter or press the down arrow key
while in the path field and the processing will begin.
*E

processed.

Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!
This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.
But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
