BEDIT version 2.7 modifications:

1. There was a certain combination that occurred when pressing the down arrow
while the cursor was on the bottom of the screen and the file ended on
the next line, but prior to the current horizontal cursor position. This
caused the cursor to move beyond the end of data and all kinds of not-so-
wonderful, but interesting, things happened.

2. The first line of the command line help screen was rolling off the page.

3. Compiled in 8088/8086 code so that XT-class systems could use BEDIT. This
seems to have minimal impact on performance.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
