SHORT DESCRIPTION: A powerful but very easy to use shell for compression and
decompression programs that can also be used as DOS Shell.

DESCRIPTION: A program designed to manage files that are in compressed
(compacted) format or helps managing files to compress in very
easy but powerful ways. The main focus is on Ease-Of-Use but
powerful for the beginner and the expert. ACZAR supports ZIP,
ARJ, LZH, PAK, ARC, HYP, SQZ and ZOO files. In addition, ACZAR
fully supports McAfee's virus scanner SCAN.EXE. ACZAR uses a
state of the art SAA/GUI interface that can be used with the
mouse, without ever touching the keyboard. It supports
Drag & Drop functions usually only known to Windows users.
Users without a mouse can use hot-keys or shortcut-keys. ACZAR
offers a built-in high speed file viewer and MDI File Notepad
editor. Or, use any external viewer or editor of your choice.
If available, expanded memory can be used to improve the
performance even more. Other features include 43/50 Line
display, scan for viruses within archives or normal files
unlimited levels deep, extensive archive switches for the
power-user, automatically locates compression utilities,
complete file and disk management built in, Backup or Restore
entire drives/directories using the most powerful compression
options of ZIP and ARJ and much more...
