320x200x256 FLI of animated spinning gyroscope

GYRO is a 320 x 200 x 256 FLI created with Polyray.

Gyro was built as an animation to be included with Thorware's
Morphics screen saver. Morphics is a Windows screen saver I wrote which
supports FLI/FLC animations as well as RLE, DIB and BMP images. Preview,
List, Random, Speed and other functions are also supported by Morphics.

If you like gyro.fli you'll probably also like the fish.fli that
comes packed with Morphics. Morphics can be found in the Compuserve
graphdev forum in the file mrphss.zip.


HISTORY:

One of my first attempts at raytraced animation was a gyroscope. This
is just a simple adaptation where the center torus is rather two
spheres connected by a cross-beam. I added some lighting, marble pillars,
and a checkered platform and VOILA!

In order to keep this file small the background is static although I have
other versions including one with clouds flying off into the background...
but the gyroscope is still fascinating to watch.
