SHERLOCK for Windows Version 3.0 is the first release of SHERLOCK
for Windows. The previous release of SHERLOCK is Version 2.73
and it is for DOS. It is still being distributed.

You must have the file VBRUN300.DLL in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
subdirectory. VBRUN300.DLL is a 400K file, 230K zipped, and can
be found on most bulletin boards as well as on line services such
as CompuServe. If you can not find it, call me, 301-460-0354, to
arrange to download it from my computer.
To install SHERLOCK, run SETUP.EXE from the WINDOWS Program
Manager and it will create a subdirectory for SHERLOCK and copy
the following files to it:

SETUP.EXE will create a SHERLOCK program group and install the
SHERLOCK icon.
You may copy the files yourself instead of using SETUP.EXE.
Create a subdirectory for SHERLOCK and copy the above files to
it. If THREED.VBX and CMDIALOG.VBX are in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM
subdirectory, you do not have to copy these.
SHERLOCK for Windows is distributed as Shareware. The
registration fee is $25 plus $4 S & H. To print the registration
form from SHERLOCK on paper or to a file for electronic
registration, select Shareware Registration from the Help menu.
Credit cards are accepted. You may register by mail, phone or
email.
With your paid registration you will receive:
A copy of the latest version of SHERLOCK for Windows.

This is the first release of SHERLOCK for Windows. The last DOS
release of SHERLOCK is version 2.73 and is still available for
DOS users.
All vendors have permission to distribute this software in every
conceivable way, such as a catalog, BBS, Racks, CD ROM, radio
broadcasting, etc. as long as all of the files are distributed
together. You may also use any text and graphics from this
announcement, the program, and the documentation. You may
include your own information files and other programs on the disk
with SHERLOCK.
SHERLOCK requires Windows 3.1 and later and VBRUN300.DLL.
Registered versions of SHERLOCK will not have any Shareware
screens or reminders to register.
