++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Even when copied with CopyIIPC, the LoadCalc disk spins in the A
drive without running. Here's the procedure to use:
1. Make a backup copy with CopyIIPC.
2. Rename the Loadcalc.exe file Loadcalc.xxx on the copied disk.
3. Dos in drive A, Loadcalc.xxx in drive B.
4. Type DEBUG B:LOADCALC.XXX
5. Type S CS:0100 FFFF 7F 16
6. Two numbers will show up: XXXX:YYYY
7. Type E XXXX:YYYY and hit return
8. You will see XXXX:YYYY 7F.
9. Type in EB after the period and hit enter
10. Type W and hit enter
11. Type Q and hit enter
12. Rename Loadcalc.xxx Loadcalc.exe
13. Backup copy will now run.

Note: This procedure will NOT allow LoadCalc to be moved to a hard disk,
just allow a back-up copy to be made.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
