To unprotect SimEarth, follow these steps:

1. First, back-up the file SIMEARTH.EXE.

2. Using a sector editor, such as Norton Utility (NU), or Professional
MasterKey (PMK), search the file SIMEARTH.EXE for the following hex
string:

76 16 0B C0 75

Note that this string appears in only one place in the file.

3. Replace the 75 (hex) with EB (hex).

4. Save the changes to disk and exit.

5. Done!!! Just press enter when prompted for manual verification.
