California Games Unprotect

California Games as an awesome game, but t's got one major defect:
it's COPY PROTECTED. It's no fun having to switch disks, so I have
created a small file to do away with the copy protection. It's easy to
do, so just sit back and do the following:

1) Copy the ORIGINAL California Games disk to a sub-directory on
your hard disk OR copy it to another diskette using the COPY *.*
command.

2) Place CGUNP.BAT and CGUNP.INS to the sub directory of your
hard disk, or the NEW diskette you have California Games on.

3) type in CGUNP [d:path]

Where `d:' is, type the drive of the disk you have Debug on, `path'
is the directory where Debug can be found.

This is just another scheme from:

<==> Pyro - Hack <==> Inc.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
