If, like me, you bought CD-MAN2 you've discovered that it has an annoying
copy protection scheme so common today. You will be shown a picture of a fire
and a page number on which it can be found. After you identify the "fire" you
must type in the four letter code corresponding to the picture, then quickly
toss the book aside and begin killing monsters. This is a real pain and a
hinderance to your score since you'll probably lose a man while you're
finding a place to put the book.(Nevermind that someone could misplace the
book and render the game completely useless.)
Here is a simple solution to the problem:
1) Copy both these files into the directory containing the
CDMAN2.EXE file thus overwriting the original file.
2) Start the game by typing:"SNOOFER" ; When the fire appears
type "FIRE".
3) Begin playing the game! This response will work no matter
which of the "fires" appears on the screen.
DISCLAIMER: The user accepts full responsibility for any damage to
hardware or software resulting from this "utility". The intent of
this utility is to assist the bonafide registered user of Creative
Dimensions' CDMAN2. The author does not condone the use of illegally
copied software. It is highly recommended that the user make a back-up
copy of the game prior to using this utility.
