These two files contain information that's invaluable for deciding
which Unix to buy for an 80X86 system. The only thing that I can
add to these two files is that I believe both are a little optimistic
about the BSD ports to the 80x86 worlds. I've seen 'em and they're
a long way from being ready. If you have to have a BSD Unix on
a PC, consider Mach/TEN from Tenon Intersystems for the Mac. It
works and it will run on surprisingly weak hardware. (i.e. I've
seen it do just fine on a souped up Mac Plus.) Tenon Intersystems
can be reached at 805-963-6983.
