Contents of the DOS-UNIX.DOC file


The utilities enclosed in this archive, unix2dos.exe and dos2unix.exe,
are not public domain software. However, these programs are FREE soft-
ware so long as no fees are charged. All I ask is that you do not in
any way modify or change the archive contents. I also ask that you
take a moment and spend the price of a postage stamp to register the
software by completing and returning to me the registration form that
is in the file MAILER. In this way I can track the distribution of any
software I decide to release as FREE software.

Shareware distributors may distribute this software provided that they
first request permission stating the maximum charge that will be made.
Such request should include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope.

Following are summaries of the two conversion programs. Each of these
will accept DOS wild cards and you may use either MS-DOS or UNIX style
option delimiters.


UNIX2DOS.EXE

This program, UNIX2DOS.EXE, released under the name unix2dos is
Copyright (c) 1990 Santa Software Associates. All rights reserved.

Usage: unix2dos [-hv] | [ ] |
[-d [ ...]]

With no options unix2dos will read from standard input and
write to standard output. With two specified filenames the
program will use the first as the source and the second as
the destination.

d - This option provides a method of copying many files in
the current directory to a new directory.
v - display version and serial information
h - display help (this) screen
