SITE LICENSE INFORMATION Last updated: August, 1993
The trial use license and the limited distribution license
described in LICENSE.DOC allow copying and using the software for
evaluation purposes for up to 90 days. Decision Support Services
regards using the software for corporate training or in a
university course as equivalent to using the software for
evaluation.
However, if you want an inexpensive way to have the program
available on multiple computers for more than 90 days or to have
multiple copies of the User's Manual, a site license is
appropriate. Decision Support Services offers two kinds of site
licenses: Program Site License and User's Manual Site License.
For both kinds of site licenses, the person, company, or
university purchasing the site licenses provides a single point of
contact for shipping, technical support, and upgrades.
The contact person for the site license must agree to make the
entire TreePlan for DOS package available for distribution to all
users at the site. The TreePlan for DOS package is defined as
containing all the material listed in the PACKING.LST text file.
If any files listed in the PACKING.LST text file, or the
PACKING.LST file itself, are missing, then the package is not
complete and distribution is forbidden. Please contact us to
obtain a complete package suitable for distribution.
PROGRAM SITE LICENSE
If you or your organization want to have the TreePlan for DOS
program available on multiple machines at a single location
(company, university, etc.) for a period exceeding 90 days, a
Program Site License is required. The Program Site License is
appropriate for both networked and non-networked computers.
The cost of the Program Site License is the usual $29 registration
fee plus $5 for each computer at the site.
USER'S MANUAL SITE LICENSE
If you or your organization want to use multiple copies of the
TreePlan for DOS User's Manual at a single location (company,
university, etc.), a User's Manual Site License is required. This
site license is especially appropriate for corporate and
university instructors who want to use TreePlan for DOS in
classroom instruction, and it is the only arrangement that allows
legally copying the TreePlan for DOS User's Manual.
The cost of the User's Manual Site License is the usual $29
registration fee plus $5 for each copy of the documentation that
will be duplicated. The purchaser arranges for duplicating the
User's Manual for use at the site.
