Trench v1.08s - August 1993 - ( Shareware Version )

This file contains essential information you need to start using the
Trench program. Much more detail is supplied in the user manual which
you can view while using the program or which you might choose to print.
This is a full functioning version of Trench. It is not crippled,
time-trapped or nobbled in any way. The registered version of the
program has the shareware sign-on screen removed and contains a utility
for backing up and restoring data.
This file is divided into the following sections:
1. Installation - how to install Trench
2. Starting Trench
3. Packing List - Files included

1. Installation
===============
1.1 Make sure you are in the 'root' directory of your hard
drive, type:
CD \
1.2 Make a directory on your hard drive called Trench.
MD Trench
1.3 Move to the Trench directory.
CD Trench
1.4 Copy the file TREN18.EXE into the Trench directory.
COPY Tren18.EXE \Trench
1.5 Unpack the TREN18.EXE file by typing:
TREN18
You will notice that the Trench program now uncrunches and
installs in your Trench Directory. When this is done, you
can get rid on the install file on your hard drive
(carefully) by entering this command:
DEL TREN18.EXE
Please note, the number 18 refers to the version number - 108.
If you have a later version of the program, this number might
be different, for example 19 or 20.
2. Starting the Trench Program
===============================
Once the installation is complete. Start the program by
entering the command:
Trench
If you have a monochrome monitor, you can force Trench to
display in monochrome by entering the command:
Trench M
The initial screen is the shareware sign-on screen. This
screen can be exited by pressing the keys. Please
review the screen and if you choose to use Trench please
register and support the shareware concept. The shareware screen
is not in the registered version of the program.
3. Packing List
===============
If you receive the Trench program from a bulletin board, the entire
program and all files will be packed into a single file called
TREN18.EXE.
Once you unpack the file TREN18.EXE you should have the following
files:
README.1ST - this program file
ORDER.DOC - registration / order form.
VENDOR.DOC - vendor distribution information.
FILE_ID.DIZ - BBS identification.

TRENCH2.OVL

4. Printing the Trench User Manual

Once you complete the installation, you can print a copy of the
Trench User Manual. The manual is in a file called TRENCH.TXT.
Print the file using the DOS print command:
PRINT TRENCH.TXT
