BIOMED DATABASE
This program will keep track of the work history, preventive
maintenance and equipment list for a health care facility. The
database will run on any DOS based system with 256K RAM, a hard
disk is suggested, along with a printer. EMS is supported as this
program was compiled with "Clipper" (Nantucket)
There are three databases that are accessed through the main
menu.
The first is an equipment list. All pieces of equipment must have a
unique control number when entered into this database. The other
two databases are the PM History and the Work History. The
equipment is linked to the Equipment database with it's control
number. {The control # may contain 6 alpha-numeric characters}
The APPEND screen will force all letters to capitals. Use generic
names in the descriptions as you will want to call those specific
items up and the database will search for a specific spelling.
The BROWSE screen allows multiple record viewing. With the
option to temporary filter out unwanted records. Editing of a
record is also possible.
The EDIT screen is just that. The item can be searched for in a
couple of ways. The index chosen will determine which entry it
will match on.
The HELP screen is an overview of the entire program.
The LABEL section will allow the printing of specific labels.
While in the EQUIPLIS database, the BIO_CNBR.lbl will print
control number labels for the equipment in the database.
While in the PMHIST database, BIO_PMCP.lbl will print a P.M.
completion sticker for the user. Additional labels could be
developed through the use of DBASE III PLUS by Ashton-Tate.
The PACK section will permanently delete any records marked for
while in the EDIT mode. The EQUIPLIS database is sorted on the
Control number during this process. This speeds up the search
functions of the database.
The REPORT section contains a form that will print a P.M. check
off list (Bio_EQDU.Frm). By selecting one of the available filters,
all the p.m.'s scheduled for a particular month will print out in a
list. The other form (Bio_PMHS.Frm) will print the PM history of
an item, but only if your in the PMHIST database.
The SELECT section allows you to jump between databases.
There is NO WARRANTY IMPLIED, EXPRESSED or otherwise
assumed. Pass this software on to other users, just keep it in the
original form.
Further forms and labels will be forth coming. Your comments
are welcome and desired. This was developed for use in a hospital,
but it would transport into just about any Preventative Maintenance
program. If you require minor changes, let me know and we can
work something out.
This is a shareware product, a small donation would be appreciated.
Enjoy the software, and happy computing.
