P ¾ s Ä É Í¹ File Loading Help Ì Í»º N ºº When the program starts, you must have a file to work with. It can ºº be an existing one, or you may "create" one by entering a new name. A ºº default recipe filename is displayed in the filename field. Press ENTER ºº to accept the default or select a different name as follows: ºº N ºº Enter the path name in standard DOS format (e.g. "C:\APPLIC\RECIPE"). ºº N ºº Once a valid path has been specified, you may either type in a filename ºº in the second field, or select a file in the directory area. ºº N ºº Valid filename characters: a - z A - Z 0 - 9 & @ ! [ } ] { ~ _ ( ) - ºº ' ^ # % ' ºº N ºº Use the UP and DOWN ARROW keys, , to move between fields and to or ºº from the directory area. Use the ,, ,, HOME and END keys to move ºº around the directory area. 0 ºº N ºº Press ENTER in the filename field or while on a filename in the directory ºº area to accept the name. 2 ºº N ºº To abort loading a file, press the ESC key in any of the fields.

ºº This function gives a brief description of each ºº of the menu options. You are currently using the HELP ºº function. ºº ºº Press any key to continue. ºº ; ºÈ ;ͼ= É ;Í»º ; ºº HELP: Quit to DOS ºº ºº This function is how you exit PC GOURMET. After ºº choosing this option, you will be returned to the DOS ºº prompt. ºº ºº Press any key to continue. ºº ; ºÈ ;ͼPà`Ú NÄ¿³ N ³³ HELP: PRINT MENU ³³ N ³³ This menu contains options that let you print different types of ³³ information about the recipes you've entered. The three PRINT options ³³ include: 1) Print a recipe, 2) Print listing of ALL recips, and 3) Print ³³ ingredients shopping list. 2 ³³ N ³³ PRINT A RECIPE allows you to make a printout of any one recipe. This ³³ option must be chosen for each recipe you would like to print. ³³ N ³³ PRINT LISTING OF ALL RECIPES creates a list of all of the recipes ³³ currently in the file along with the category they are under. ³³ N ³³ PRINT INGREDIENTS SHOPPING LIST creates a list of ingredients needed ³³ to make up to 20 recipes. This list can then be taken when you buy your ³³ groceries. B ³³ N ³³ Press any key to continue. ³³ N ³À NÄÙPc@- - Ú NÄ¿³ N ³³ HELP: ADD RECIPE ³³ N ³³ The ADD RECIPE entry screen allows you to enter four different types ³³ of recipe information: 1) Recipe heading, 2) Ingredients, 3) Instructions, ³³ and 4) Follow-up notes. The recipe detail contains the category, recipe ³³ name, and source from which the recipe was taken. The ingredients and ³³ instructions entry areas allow you to keep track of the kind and amount ³³ of ingredients used, and how to prepare the recipe. The follow-up notes ³³ entry area can be used for any special information regarding the recipe. ³³ N ³³ The active keys available at this time include: ³³ N ³³ F2 - Enter Recipe Heading (default mode) F4 - Enter Ingredients ³³ F6 - Enter Instructions F8 - Enter Follow-up Notes ³³ F9 - Displays a list of categories for you to choose from. This is only ³³ available while the CATEGORY field of the recipe detail is active. ³³ Alt F10 - Save the current recipe information to the file and advances you ³³ to a blank recipe entry form. % ³³ ESC - Aborts the addition of the current recipe and returns to the main ³³ menu. A ³³ N ³³ Press any key to continue. ³À NÄÙPs0- - L 4º Ú NÄ¿³ N ³³ HELP: EDIT RECIPE ³³ N ³³ The EDIT RECIPE entry screen contains the same modes and keys used ³³ when you initially entered the recipe information. The EDIT RECIPE screen ³³ simply gives you the ability to make changes to a previously entered ³³ recipe. E ³³ N ³³ The active keys available at this time include: ³³ N ³³ F2 - Edit Recipe Heading (default mode) F4 - Edit Ingredients ³³ F6 - Edit Instructions F8 - Edit Follow-up Notes ³³ F9 - Displays a list of categories for you to choose from. This is only ³³ available while the CATEGORY field of the recipe detail is active. ³³ Alt F10 - Save recipe changes to the file and return to the recipe
³³ selection menu. 3 ³³ ESC - Aborts changes made to the current recipe. ³³ N ³³ Press any key to continue. ³À NÄÙPs0! + + K 8Ú NÄ¿³ N ³³ HELP: DELETE RECIPE ³³ N ³³ The DELETE RECIPE screen lets you delete a selected recipe. You may ³³ view different parts of the recipe (detail info, ingredients, notes and ³³ instructions) to make sure the recipe you are about to delete is really ³³ the one you want deleted. 3 ³³ N ³³ The active keys available at this time include: ³³ N ³³ F4 - View Ingredients F6 - View Instructions ³³ F8 - View Follow-up Notes ESC - Aborts deleting the current recipe. ³³ Alt F10 - Deletes the current recipe information and returns to the ³³ main menu. 8 ³³ PG Up - Page backward through current list. ! ³³ PG Dn - Page backward through current list. ! ³³ N ³³ Press any key to continue. ³À NÄÙPÃ0 . . - J 8Ú NÄ¿³ N ³³ HELP: VIEW RECIPE ³³ N ³³ The VIEW RECIPE screen lets you look at any recipe and print its ³³ contents to a printer. There is also a timer available when this screen ³³ is active. Note that the timer is only active while you are browsing ³³ through the recipe you were at when you started the timer. If you ³³ exit the current recipe, the timer is turned off. ³³ N ³³ The active keys available at this time include: ³³ N ³³ F3 - Set / Clear the timer. F5 - Print the current recipe information. ³³ F4 - View Ingredients F6 - View Instructions ³³ F8 - View Follow-up Notes ESC - Exit to the main menu. ³³ PG Up - Page backward through current list. ! ³³ PG Dn - Page forward through current list.
