Left mouse button will: - produce the same response as the key. - move text cursor to mouse cursor location. - toggle Control Line commands. - scroll up or down with Marker Column arrows. - page up or down with Marker Column indicator. - page down while viewing help windows. - reset control line with mouse cursor and ALT+. - with Math in effect, perform calculation. Right mouse button will: - produce the same response as the key. - go to top or bottom of form with Marker Column arrows. - toggle text and mouse cursor positions. - with Math in effect, toggle results for placement. ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ PCForm Top Line Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß The Top Line of your screen is shared by three services. Title Line [ + or ] - This line displays in- formation on the current form; its name, extension, number of pages and your location within the Form Manage- ment System. Menu Line [ + or ] - This pull down menu line gives you access to all PCForm services. Use the arrow keys to highlight the required service, and press to activiate the service. The key will end menu activity with no changes in effect. Ruler Line [ + or ] - This line provides you with a graduated ruler. When used in conjunction with the Position Window (lower right), form development is an easier task. ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Form Management System Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß PCForm employes a Form Management System which allows you tostore and retrive your forms according to form type, contentor any form organization meeting your needs. You can grouplocically related forms in different storage areas on yourdisk. PCForm will manage up to 54 directories, each with 54subdirectories on each disk drive installed. Within eachdirectory or subdirectory, PCForm will categorize your formswith up to 36 separate form extensions and will keep trackof 90 forms of each extension type. You are only limited bythe available disk space or the number of files DOS willallow in each directory. PCForm will prompt you if one ofthese limits is reached. Your location within the management system is displayed onthe Title Line at the top of your screen. Movement withinthe system is accomplished with the "Location" command fromthe PCForm Menu Line. ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ PCForm Control Line Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßß The Control Line is located at the bottom of your screen.Holding the key down while pressing the highlightedletter of the command word will invoke its feature. Repeat-ing the same key strokes will end the service. Sgle - draws a single line using the directional arrow keys. When invoked with 'Box' or 'Line', a single line is drawn between two marked positions. Dble - is the same as 'Sgle' but using a double line. Char - will display a ASCII character chart from which you select the character used for drawing. Again - will reinstate, for drawing, the last character selected from the ASCII character chart. Undo - will remove, from your form, any activity performed since the last save or the last mark and draw. [more] ßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ PCForm Control Line (cont.) Þßßßßßßßßßßßßß Menu - will activate the pull down menu on the Top Line of your screen. Use the arrow keys to select a service and press to perform the service. The key will exit the Menu Line. Title - will display the form Title Line on the top of your screen. This line provides information on form location and number of pages. Ruler - will display a ruler on the top line of your screen. This makes form alignment easier. The form Position Window is at the far right of the ControlLine and displays the cursor coordinates. Pressing the Rightmouse button will display the mouse cursor coordinates. To the left of the Position Window is displayed the formpage length in inches. ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Form Pages Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß PCForm will maintain forms of up to four pages. If addit-ional pages are needed, you can divide the form between twoseparate form names. You move between pages by pressing the thru keys or selecting "Pages" from the Menu Line. The key will invoke the clear page feature. You havethe option of making the page blank or removing the pagealtogether and have PCForm restack the remaining pages. Ifyour form was not saved prior to clearing, you will not beable to recall the cleared page. PCForm supports two paper lengths; 11 and 14 inches. Thepage size is changed by pressing the key or selecting"Pages" from the Menu Line. The cursors relative location on a page is displayed by theMarker Column indicator (far right column). ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Block Operations Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßß The PCForm block operations allow you to Copy, Cut and Pasteentire blocks of information between various pages or forms. Copy/Cut - +/+ - After selecting the ap- propriate command, place the cursor at one corner of the information you wish to manipulate and press or the Left mouse button. Now place to cursor at an oppos- ing diagonal corner and press or the Left mouse button. The data contained within this area is placed in a buffer. All data copied or cut from a form remains in the block buffer until cleared with the Clear command or new data is added with the Copy or Cut commands. Paste - + - will position data contained in the block buffer on your form. Move the cursor to the upper left corner where you wish to place the data and press or the Left mouse button. Move - + - combines the features of Cut and Paste.ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Auto-Tab Functions Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßß The PCForm Auto-Tab service allows you to set and save upto 120 tab stops per form page. This service makes thefilling in of commonly used forms an easier task. Auto On/Off - will toggle between Auto-Tab on and off if a tab set is loaded or defined. When on, pressing will move the cursor to the next tab stop. Make/End Set - allows you to define (make) an Auto-Tab set. Move the cursor to each position on your form were you would like a tab stop and press . The order in which these positions are marked is the order they are played back. When done, select again to mark end of set.Load Set - will load for use a previously saved tab set. Clear Set - will clear the currently loaded/defined tab set.Save Set - will save for later use a defined tab set. Delete Set - will remove from your disk any previously saved tab set. ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Drawing with PCForm Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßß The following action occures when its Control Line commandis highlighted. Arrow key drawing is suspended while CapsLock is on. Sgle - draws a horizonal line when pressing the right or left arrow keys, and a vertical line when pressing the up or down arrow keys. Dble - produces the same results a 'Sgle', but draws with a double line character. Char - draws the selected ASCII character in the direction of the arrow key pressed. Again - reinstates, for drawing, the last character selected with the 'Char' command. Line + Sgle; Dble; Char - draws the selected character be- tween two marked points. Mark your points by placing the cursor at the first position and pressing . A '+'[more] ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Drawing with PCForm (cont.) Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßß will appear indicating the first mark. Now place the cursor at the second position and press . 'Line' marking positions must be in the same row or column axis.Box + Sgle; Dble; Char - draws a box with the selected char- acter between two marked points. Mark your points, as with 'Line', using any two opposing diagonal corners. 'Line' and 'Box' positions are easily marked with the mousecursor and its Left button. It is best to draw boxes first then fill in remaining lines. Double marking the same point while 'Char' & 'Line' areactive will produce the selected character at that position.Form clear up is accomplished using this method. Practice does make perfect, so play around for a while. ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßÝ Calculate (Math functions) Þßßßßßßßßßßßßßß The Math functions allow you to perform calculations onnumbers and place the results within a form. These servicesare activated in either of two ways: selecting "Calculate"from the Menu Line or using the following key combinations. Add- +<+> Subtract- +<-> Multiply- +<*> Divide- + Results- +<#> Format- + Once active, placing the cursor anywhere over a number andpressing or the Left mouse button begins the calcu-lation process. Continue calculating until done. To placethe answer, select 'Results' using keys, the Menu Line, orthe Right mouse button. Now move the cursor to the properlocation and press or the Left mouse button. Theresults is placed from the cursor location to the left.
