Macro Reference Dialing String
~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXAMPLE: [A] = Jack - 1
[B] = Ohio - 419
[C] = Long Dist - [A][B]
[D] = Home - [C]588
[E] = Pause - ,,,,,,,,,,,
[F] = Extension - 523
Using the above macro examples
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This number at the Phone field: [D]3608[E][F]
Would cause the modem to dial: 14195883608,,,,,,,,,,,523

Note also that the Reference field is only used as a reference
to help you remember what the Macro is to be used for and can
be anything you like.

Options to list and select a Macro from a scrolling pick list
can be accessed when adding entries to the phonebook database
at the Phone Number field by pressing the PgUp key. Also an
option is available at this time to press the PgDn key and
display the actual number or dialing string that will be sent
to your modem at dialing time.

Using them will move the highlight bar up or down one record
at a time. Continuing to hold one of these keys down will
cause the highlight bar to scan until you release the key.

PgUp-PgDn.............. These options represent the Page Up and
Page Down keys.

Using them will move the highlight bar up or down a full
page at a time. Continuing to hold one of these keys down
will cause the highlight bar to rapid scan until you release
the key.

NOTE ! The phone book module uses a file oriented database and
is limited in the number of records only by your disk size.

  1. Very nice! Thank you for this wonderful archive. I wonder why I found it only now. Long live the BBS file archives!

  2. This is so awesome! 😀 I’d be cool if you could download an entire archive of this at once, though.

  3. But one thing that puzzles me is the “mtswslnkmcjklsdlsbdmMICROSOFT” string. There is an article about it here. It is definitely worth a read: http://www.os2museum.com/wp/mtswslnk/
